A Cat.

The leap of a cat. The tension of the cat's legs, propelling them
forward and into the glass window separating the cat and the birds.
Head high, pretending that nothing has happened.
Their dignity not spoiling. Then, once more, leaping upon
the window, bouncing backwards.
Words coo like little bells as hands stroke silky fur.
"Good kitty."
"Did you get 'em, puss?"
"Don't ruin your fur, Snowball."
On and on and on...
Until... the cat moves to another window...

Light of the Moon

credit

I am nowhere. And yet, you almost always can find me. Shining through the branches of yesterdays worries, you see my light through all the darkness. You see the sliver of a silver wish that might be granted in a sea of unfortunate things.

Spirit of the Wind

credit
When all is silent, when all is calm, I make my entrance. Whipping down through trees, crashing atop roofs, blowing your hair across  your face. No one sees me, I am as if the mere thought of wind is invisible. But if you would see me, I would look as familiar to you as your own sister.

Hope

I am here because when all else fails, when the other spirits have gone to war, when sickness spreads over the land, and when everything is lost, I am all that is left. I am Hope.

Love Yourself

Have you ever heard the quote you have to love yourself before you can love others? It's about self esteem. In this tiny little world, there is a lot of problems. But one big one is that a lot of people (including me!!!) don't have a lot of self esteem. That is a terrible thing! If you don't love yourself, or think you are stupid or fat or ugly or just a plain waste of space because that's what others say, then your life will stink. If you want to have a life that isn't you telling yourself that you should be different, you have to love yourself first. That is the very fist step in not feeling horrible all the time. Every. Day. Forever.
Find the inside you and tell yourself that you don't have to change. You can be you, and I hope you have a great time doing it.

The Spark That Stirs You

You know that feeling when you see or hear or smell or in anyway experience something, and you are completely amazed and astounded by that thing and must learn how to be that thrilling to others. You have to..... learn ballet or graffiti your room or..... in my case, learn to play the violin...
FOLLOW THAT SPARK THAT STIRS YOUR FEELINGS.
It might just be worth trying.

The recent weather and other things that are on my mind

It's not everyday I wake up to french toast. I  have to say, since my mom is gluten free and has not tried to make french toast with gluten free bread,  is pretty awesome to make it for us gluteny ones.

It's raining and dreary here in Appalachia and looks like it won't clear up for.... days.
I  have a very amazing cousin, her name is Lucy. She once said to me, on a very rainy day, "Sometimes, when I look at the rain, I see shapes that give me inspiration and get me to start thinking about interesting stuff. Other times, I look out at it, and just see not being able to go swimming this afternoon."
You said it, Lucy! She has an amazing blog that you can read too! http://shplugahtugah.blogspot.com/

She is one of my best friends. Being a couple of months apart, we get along very well, and sometimes exclude my younger sister.... Sorry, Ani!

Today, my dad and I are have rehearsal for a play we both are in. It's called An Appalachian Christmas Carol. It's like Dickens' play a Christmas Carol, but in Appalachia! It's really cool! If you live in Ohio too, maybe you can go see it.
It's at Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville Ohio. We open on the 17th of December and close on the 21st. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $12 for kids. To purchase tickets in advance, go to http://stuartsoperahouse.org/appalachian-christmas-carol-p-393.html

I hope to see you there!

The same obsession?!?!?!

Do you ever get that odd feeling when you're out in public and someone mentions your obsession? First, you get shivers up and down your back. Then, you look frantically around for the person who said something. You want to geek out with them so much, you almost fall over in an effort to discover this person's identity. Then, you hear them say it again. You look over to see a group of kids just like you. You decide to impress them with your great knowledge of that particular obsession. You casually walk up. As you pass them, you say something to your friend. You saw it loud enough that hopefully they will hear. "Allonsy!" You say. Your friend (who probably doesn't know what you are doing) looks at you funny. But all you care about is the fact that those people are looking at you. You are so happy that now you can geek out together. "Hey!" Ohmygosh! They're calling you over! You turn to see them  running toward you. Just then, you hear someone behind you say, "Hello! Did you get my text about seeing that movie about doctor who?" You watch as the group you have been trying to impress soooooooooooooo hard run past you and start talking with someone else about the obsession you love so much.
When you get home, you decide that you don't need those people to geek out with. So you call your friend who has never seen Doctor Who and ask if they want to come over and watch some with you. Then you spend five hours running around waving pens with marbles attached to the caps and yelling things like, "No, I'm the doctor!" "Fine! I'm Rose! No, Martha! No, Rose!"
In the end, you're happy to have your own obsession.

The troubles of waking up in the morning

There is this one point in the morning, when you just feel so warm, so cozy, so... peaceful... And then your mom comes in, shaking you awake and telling you that your breakfast will be cold if you don't hurry and that you need to start on your math. You have a feeling of annoyance How dare they interrupt your dream of meeting the tenth doctor! How rude. Then you realize that you don't want to eat cold fried eggs, you don't even like fried eggs! Then you notice that you have to go to the bathroom really bad... And when I say really bad, I mean rreeeeaaaaallllllyyyyyy bbbbaaaaaddddd! Then, for some odd reason, you find that you are hungry. You are never this hungry when you first wake up! What's going on?! Then, you count the things that are troubling you,

  1. you have to pee
  2. you're hungry
  3. your food is going to be cold
  4. you are tired because you stayed up late watching doctor who
  5. your mom won't leave
  6. the tenth doctor is shouting at you to run away from the Cybermen, but you have to pee sooo bad...
  7. you have a headache

After you add all these up, you come to the conclusion that you're dying. After you have gotten used to the fact that you are dying, you go downstairs, take a pee, and eat your breakfast.

VADER'S LITTLE PRINCESS

Heeeyyyyyy! I just got home from the library. I found a couple good books, but I found a particularly AMAZINGLY AWESOME book called...

VADER'S LITTLE PRINCESS

You Star Wars geeks out there will understand. It is suuuuuuper cool. It's all about Darth Vader being a dad to Princess Leia. There is one part, when five-year-old Leia is knitting something. Vader walks up.

Leia: Dad, I'm making you a cozy

Leia: Isn't it great?
Vader: JUST TELL HER YOU LIKE IT...
Right now, I'm writing from a library computer. It's feels strange not to be writing from a laptop in the privacy of my room. There is a plant to my left. It looks kinda like a banana plant and a paw paw plant. Most of it's leaves are a unhealthy green. The rest of them are a sickly yellow. I don't know why anyone would want to have that plant. To my right, there is this odd magazine holder. Its holding, like, thirty American Girl magazines, some cooking and gardening ones, and one People.
It's funny what things you can observe from using a different computer in a different place.

This post is not making any sense, so I'll probably do another one when I get home. I'm trying to do one or more posts a day! We'll see how I do :)
Ohmygosh!!!! I just looked out the window and saw a garbage truck guy wearing a kilt!!!

Byeeeeeee!
